For God so loved the world
John 3:16

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as giving food to the needy, to preparing the church bulletins.

Mission Outreach

Rocky Hill Baptist Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around our community and the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Marriage Counseling

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Several couples at our church serve other families as marriage counselors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.

Events Calendar

Wednesday Nights:

Kids on a Mission

For Preschool (ages 2-5)  & Children  (K-6th grade). Our goal with Children’s Ministry is to train the children to be humble, compassionate, giving, and forgiving just as Christ has set the example and expectation. We are to raise our children up to be leaders of the church and to uphold Godly standards not only in the church but in our community and country.  To teach children how to serve others and why it crucial in order to spread the Gospel to others.  “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.”   Matthew 25:35

RA’s: Royal Ambassadors

The RA’s is a Bible-centered missions class for boys grades 1 – 8.  RA’s motto: “We are Ambassadors for Christ”, not only does this give the organization it’s name, but also gives the boys leadership and a lifestyle goal.  As they grow and mature though life we are helping them to know the roots of becoming “Ambassadors for Christ”.  Check out our events calendar, and come join us next Wednesday!

GA’s: Girls in Action

Girls in Action is designed to help girls in grades 1 through 6 come to faith in Christ as Savior, while making missions an important part of their daily lives. They learn what it means to live a missional lifestyle while they participate in Bible study, missions projects and engaging activities. They also have a lot of fun and build lasting memories as they “travel” to various places around the world when they learn about the work of missionaries.

Acteens groups provide a fun, dynamic and experiential way for teenage girls in grades 7 through 12 to grow in relationship to Christ. Through Bible study, missions projects and relationships with others, they learn to look beyond themselves and become actively involved in missions and ministry. What happens in Acteens doesn’t just stay within the walls of the church — girls are challenged to live their lives openly for Christ in a very authentic and influential way. They grow to see that God can use them every day in countless ways to change their world.
